Along with the bees I am literally buzzing for some warmer weather and it’s finally here, though of course interspersed with the odd day of gloom (it is NZ after all). Spring is all about change so here are some of the new products that I’ve been trying out this month.
Manuka Doctor Drops of Crystal Cashmere Touch Serum
This silky lightweight serum uses botanically derived active ingredients which instantly firm and plump the skin to smooth out imperfections, fine lines and improve elasticity. It smells kind of like honey and left my skin looking gorgeously lit-from-within and glowing without being shimmery or glittery. It’s also a favourite of Kourtney Kardashian too so good to know we’re on the same page.
Dr Lewinn’s Day Cream Moisturiser Light SPF15
Coming into the warmer months means we’ll be spending more time outside so it’s generally a good idea to switch to a day cream with an SPF in it. This is a nice one because even though it contains sun protection, it doesn’t feel greasy. It has a floral scent and visible makes skin look more hydrated for hours.
The Brow Gal Second Chance
Brows are everything right now and if you were one of the many who plucked your's away to nothing many years ago or just weren’t blessed with full brows to begin with, then rejoice because you can have them. The Brow Gal Second Chance is a two-step system designed to reinvigorate your brows and comes in a serum and a supplement. The serum comes with a wand that vibrates on three speeds which really helps to distribute the serum all over the hair follicles. The supplement is full of antioxidants that specifically nourish hair follicles and promote growth.
Smashbox Colour Correcting Stick in Don’t Be Dull
Colour correcting is having a moment right now and this is one of the new cream sticks out from Smashbox that help to target discolouration and even out skin tones. Don’t Be Dull is a lavender shade that is designed to brighten skin tones. So you know when you look in the mirror and your skin just looks tired and dull? That’s what this is for. Then once you’ve counteracted the colour, you conceal over the top and the result is far superior to concealer on its own. The sticks also come in three other colours too.
Dermalogica Redness Relief Primer
Redness can be a big problem in NZ and this green primer is a handy tool to have to counteract some of that red and neutralize your skin tone before you apply foundation. It’s translucent so you don’t actually go green, it’s more of a veil. Plus it’s full of botanical extracts to care for your skin as well as SPF20 to protect from sun damage. The priming qualities also help your makeup go on smoother, look better and last so much longer.
