Arbonne RE9 Advanced for Men Review

Healthy clear looking skin is not an accident, it takes a bit of care. Thankfully, in recent years, the average man has started to pay a lot more attention to his appearance and, hey presto, we have skin care lines developed specifically to meet our skin care needs. Mens skin tends to be thicker, oilier, and a little rougher than womens skin and therefore has slightly different needs. The old cleanse, tone and moisturise still applies but with a few additions.

Arbonne is a skin care range originally developed in Switzerland in 1975 and prides themselves on creating products with a high concentration of key botanical ingredients, while being eco friendly and cruelty free; in fact most Arbonne products are certified vegan friendly. The range is pretty extensive but I just tried out the RE9 Advances for Men range.

Generally I found you only need a small amount of each product, as a little goes a long way. They have a light scent, nothing off-putting or too strong. The texture is nice on the whole and the packaging looks up-market while remaining practical.

Micro-Exfoliating Cleanser

This is a two-in-one product which cleanses away dirt and oil and exfoliates at the same time. Great as a prep product before shaving to prevent ingrown hairs but you may want to have another cleanser on hand as well if you cleanse morning and night, so as not to over exfoliate.

Anti-Ageing Moisturiser SPF15

The key thing I find with a lot of guys is they forget to wear sunscreen. While this is a relatively low SPF, that means it’s non-greasy enough to wear every day, yet effective enough to block out the damaging sun’s rays on that morning commute to work. It absorbs super fast and offers a light-medium level of hydration which would be suitable for most skin types.

Eye Repair Cream

Getting serious about your regime? An eye cream is next level, and it makes a big impact to your overall appearance as the eyes are not only the windows to the soul but one of the first places to show ageing. Just a little bit of this in the morning will visibly reduce puffiness and dark circles around the eyes. Pro tip: Use the excess around your lips/mouth as this is the other area of the face that starts to show signs of ageing first.

Shave Cream

There’s nothing fresher than the perfect close shave. A cream is essential for softening hairs on the face and protecting your skin from the blade. You only need a small amount spread evenly across the beard for the perfect shave.

After-Shave Soothing Lotion

If you find your skin is a bit sensitive after shaving, you might just need a little TLC. This is full of antioxidants that help repair and comfort irritated skin. If you don’t find shaving an issue, you’re probably fine to stick with the moisturiser.

You can only get Arbonne through a registered consultant, and you can locate one in your area here
