Top 5 June

So while the weather has been having an absolute tantrum in Auckland, I've been keeping busy with school ball season, booking in brides for the summer and getting through the odd show here and there. I've also had my birthday and as a special treat I got my brows feather tattooed (more on this to come). I've also been putting together my list of five favourite things this month for you which you can check out below.

Clinic 42 Photo Ready Facial

This is the perfect pick me up for those who are just starting to notice some signs of ageing. During the 20 minute session your skin will be infused with a mix of botox and hyaluronic acid in the form of little injections (you’re totally numb for the treatment). Hyaluronic Acid is naturally present in our bodies and is responsible for maintaining hydration but sadly up to two thirds of it starts to disappear as we age! This treatment is designed to delay and reverse the signs of ageing and boost the natural hydration and glow of the skin but it also firms loose papery skin, plumps it up, and smooths out wrinkles. A series of 3 treatments initially is recommended.

Eye of Horus Liquid Metals Liners

A good metallic liner is hard to find: it’s either too transparent or has inconsistent colour pay off. These are the best I’ve found as they come in a liquid form with a very fine tip, the colour range is great from copper to silver, as well as gold and bronze, and they have incredible staying power. Although I don’t need metallic liners often, these are a gem in my kit for those times when I’m doing something a little different and need to pull out the big guns.

Sukin Pore Refining Facial Scrub

An all natural oil balancing scrub with bamboo charcoal, jojoba and mooring extracts which exfoliate the skin, balance oil production and clean out pores of impurities. It feels gentle but effective and washes off easily and leaves skin feeling supple, smooth and with a gorgeous glow. Also at the moment if you spend $35 or more on Sukin products you’ll get a free Travel Essentials pack with body lotion, body wash, shampoo and condition in a beauty bag. Just pop in your toothbrush and you’re ready for a weekend away.

Smashbox Photo Matte Palette

This eye palette literally has everything you need for a polished, perfect neutral look. The 12 longwear matte shades multitask as eyeshadow, eyeliner and brow colours, plus you can also use them wet for a more intense result. You also get 2 double sized base shades (handy as these are always the first to run out) and a double ended brush.

Guerlain Abeille Royal Honey Smile Lift

Aren’t bees incredible? I swear they are the ultimate source of life. This recently launched lip treatment contains pure honey and it’s the most decadent, nourishing lip treatment I’ve ever used. The metal applicator fits the contours of your mouth while the rich formulation plumps and soothes your lips. Amazing
