Top 5 February

Once in every four years we get an extra day in Feb and I definitely made full use of it today! It’s been a busy month with an underwater photoshoot, a bridal shoot on a trampoline (pause for effect) for Trish Peng (above) and 14 wedding bookings. I’ve also managed to round up my top five loves for the month!

Ermenegildo Zegna Acqua Di Bergamotto

The key note of Italian Bergamot gives this new fragrance from the leading luxury menswear brand a crisp and refreshing form. Imagine a cooling summer breeze as you soak up the sun in a lush green field along the coastline of Southern Italy. The scent is nicely rounded out with notes of neroli, rosemary and vetiver, to settle on a fragrance that is warm, fresh, modern and classic all at the same time. It’s the sort of scent I would expect to experience walking past a perfectly groomed man entering the first class cabin of an aircraft (I would of course be on my way to my seat in economy).

Billion Dollar Brows Best Sellers Kit

The trend for 2016 is big beautiful groomed brows. This kit contains pretty much everything you need to recreate perfect brows every day. The Universal Brow Pencil fills in gaps and extends the shape of the brows and works on just about every hair tone (unless you were very fair or extremely dark this should work perfectly for you), the thing about pencils is you have to blend them, which is why there’s a spoolie on the other end! The Brow Duo Pencil highlights under the brow and conceals around the eye area (use the smudge brush included to do this), and finally the Brow Gel sets brow hairs in place for perfect brows that last.

Trilogy Hydrating Mist Toner

Hydrating toner is a must in every makeup kit. It provides instant moisture, improves the absorption of your moisturiser and can also be used to refresh the skin after makeup application and throughout the day. I’m not a fan of alcohol based toners as I find they dry out the skin. This one is alcohol free and full of natural plant essences like lavender, geranium and rose, so it supplies nutrition and hydration without stripping the skin.

Goodness Every Morning Moisturiser

We’ve all felt that smug feeling of health when we walk out of the cafe holding our superfood smoothie to go. Well this is like a superfood smoothie but for your skin. It combines yummy ingredients like coconut and avocado oils, bilberry and hibiscus, with of course the star ingredient ever present in Goodness skincare, certified organic chia seed oil. There’s no artificial fragrance or colours and absolutely no testing on animals.

Manuka Doctor Apinourish Age-Defying Eye Cream

This handy little tube well and truly replaces the old wives tale of a cold teabag for tired eyes. This award winning cream is an intensive treatment designed to plump, smooth and brighten skin. The hero ingredient found in citrus fruit stimulates circulation, improving the appearance of dark circles and refresh tired looking skin.
